Support Solar Lanterns for Norwalk's Homeless

Donation protected
Join us in creating solar-powered lanterns for Open Doors, a homeless shelter in Norwalk CT. These innovative lanterns feature a fully 3D-printed structure and incorporate lights, wires, batteries, and solar panels for sustainable illumination.

We came up with the idea when we wanted to use our engineering skills to help out our local community. We immediately started to think about how we could 3D print essentials for people in need. After more research, we realized that the best way to help would be giving them something that they could use for a long time. This led us to build a 3D printed solar powered lantern.

Through this program, we hope to not only help people in the community, but also generate interest in the Westport Library MakerSpace.

We will be using all donations to help pay for Lantern components.
