Support Sonja's Battle Against Lymphoma

Hi, this is Daniel and I'm setting up the GoFundMe for Sonja. I'll summarize what's been happening.

Sonja has been experiencing symptoms such as fatigue and random pains in their torso for some time before this happened. However, as they have fibromyalgia, they had been dismissing them as nothing. Over time, these symptoms escalated until Sonja could hardly breathe and they were experiencing intense pain in their upper left body. Doctors had been slow-rolling diagnosis and treatment and so had only concluded that there were problems with Sonja's spleen.

A few days ago, however, the pain escalated enormously. Sonja went into the emergency room, afraid that their life was in danger and, after doctors looked them over and ran some preliminary diagnostics, they concluded that the most likely answer is lymphoma. This is not conclusive and they will be running a biopsy to learn more. However, what is absolutely certain is that this will be very, very expensive for Sonja. I am making this GoFundMe in hopes that, while they are in the hospital in such pain and going through all the necessary treatments, Sonja at least does not have to worry about the money. If that sounds worthy to you, please give whatever you can.

The goal of the fundraiser is set at $20,000 because we don't really know what to expect. Chemotherapy can be very expensive and Sonja is going to be saddled with the bills for at least one emergency vehicle ride and likely the maximum amount that insurance can charge. Please consider helping Sonja out in their time of need.

Update: doctors have diagnosed Sonja with a rare kind of cancer: B cell lymphoma, splenic marginal zone type. Luckily Sonja has begun chemotherapy and has been discharged from the hospital. However, now begins the battle. Not only is Sonja trying to save money to pay for all the medical bills they are building up, but they are also not able to prepare their own food, stay in their previous apartment, or drive themselves to locations. This means they are racking up even more costs in the mean time.
