Support Sophia's Battle Against ALS

This is Sophia Martindale Della Penna.

A true selfless warrior who was devastatingly stricken with ALS in 2022. She has been trying to privately battle the unforgiving relentless symptoms so that she can shelter all those she loves from the pain of losing her. Her loving husband, Pauly Della Penna, has not left her side and is doing everything in his power to keep her happy, comfortable and literally alive. He is a hero to everyone that knows Sophia.

As this disease advances, Pauly will need additional help with her home care (his quality care is amazing- but he is only one person) and they are overwhelmed with medical expenses.

Sophia's entire life is her children.

She has shown them how to take on things gracefully. She has always been independent and worked her whole life. Announcing she had this disease on social media was so hard for her to do because she NEVER wanted anyone to perceive her as a victim. When her father died of ALS, she walked for the cause and included her children.

This disease has not only robbed Sophia of her golden years, it has taken away her voice, her ability to eat or drink. She is now losing mobility in her upper body making it hard to hold up her neck, even her georgous smile has been lost.

If you have ever known anyone with ALS it is a disease with no cure. The average lifespan after the initial symptom is 2 to 5 years. Although none of us can stop this brutal attack, please consider donating to help Pauly make her life as peaceful as possible. All funds go directly to them and will be used to help pay for medical bills, and home health care. Any funds left over will go to her loving family.
