Support Sophie: Our Younger Sister's Battle
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
We never thought we’d be writing this, but our younger sister Sophie was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She’s only 25 years old. It still doesn’t feel real.
Sophie has to leave her life in a small Oregon town to come home to Ohio for treatment and to be with family. It’s a huge, overwhelming change. Sophie was just promoted in her job to assistant manager at the homeless shelter she has worked at for the past 3 years. She now has to take a leave of absence for the next half to full year. If you’ve ever met Sophie, you know that she is one the sweetest and most gentle people. This devastating news has shocked our entire family.
Sophie has enough to worry about without thinking about financial difficulties during her cancer treatment. We are raising money to cover the costs of traveling, a custom handmade wig with Sophie’s own hair, and any other hidden expenses that come about from insurance or living costs associated with her treatment and care while she is not able to work full time.
If you can help in any way—whether by donating, or just sharing this page—it would mean the world to us. Every little bit brings us closer to giving Sophie the best care possible.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, donating, or just sending love. It all makes a difference. We will keep you updated on her journey.
With love,
Zena and Callie
