Support Sophie's Journey to Recovery

My name is Katie. I am asking on behalf of my best friend and most loyal companion to consider donating to her surgery. My dog, Sophie, over the last two months has managed to rupture ligaments in both of her knees leaving her unable to walk on her back legs. We were hoping after the injury to her first knee that rest would be sufficient to heal, but after she injured her second knee, surgery is the only option to give her any quality of life. She is only 5 years old.

The surgery required is called Tibial-plateau-leveling osteotomy or TPLO. The estimate given from the surgeon is $5000 per leg. They essentially rework the structure of the knee to function without the ruptured ligament. They would fix one knee at a time with an 8 week recovery period between repairs, so she will need two separate surgeries.
