Support Sound Ecologies' 2025 Concert Season
Donation protected
Sound Ecologies is an Indiana-based non-profit organization whose mission is to commission and support local musicians, composers, and artists of a wide variety of backgrounds, and to foster an ecologically-minded and artistically rich community through advocacy of local conservation efforts at our concerts.
Some stats for Sound Ecologies' 2024 concert season include:
- Commissioning 40+ pieces of music from Indiana composers/performers
- Collaborating with 150+ musicians
- Partnering with 6 local non-profit ecological organizations
- Reaching thousands of audience members through concerts and recordings
- Hosting 12 concerts this season
We are seeking support for our 2025 season, which would help us to maintain and even expand our efforts within our community. For 2025, we're looking at increasing the number of concerts in our season, including several local collaborations with larger ensembles. Any support we receive would allow us to uplift even more local musicians and expand the vibrant new music scene in Indianapolis, while continuing to assist with ecological efforts and make an impact on our communities.
Below is a video of one of the pieces premiered at our largest concert in the 2024 season. The concert, titled ORCHESTRAMANIA, featured world premieres of 6 new works for orchestra. The one featured below is called "Daughters of Rán" composed by Amanda S, a flutist in the orchestra, music educator, and frequent composer/performer with Sound Ecologies.
