7 South Tahoe Varsity Wrestlers have earned their spot at the

NIAA 3A STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT

These 7 athletes, a record number of wrestlers representing

South Tahoe High School, will travel to Boulder City, NV.

 

Senior '22: Jesus (Chuy) Chavarin

Juniors '23: Andrew Singelyn, Garrett Friederici, Patrick Webster

Sophomores '24: Cristian Arce & Zach Briggs

Freshman '25: Kash Hendrick

 

These student-athletes have had to overcome extensive obstacles this school year including: a mandatory evacuation from South Lake Tahoe, Covid challenges, canceled tournaments, canceled practices, school closures, transportation limitations, and more. Disappointedly, our school district did not fund their uniform request this year and no longer pays for meals when our athletes travel.

Despite these unforeseen challenges, these wrestlers never quit.

Their will to win never wavered!

 

Coach Ryan Wallace ensures that these athletes support our South Lake Tahoe Community. They are always the first to help, whether it's setting up a Christmas tree lot, unpacking emergency supplies for a local organization, or even helping those in need by moving furniture and providing assistance.

Let's show our dedicated Varsity Wrestling Team that their remarkable achievements both on and off the wrestling mat are recognized.
