Support Spar Minster Lovell - Upgrade to their Security

My name is Karen, and my family has lived in Minster Lovell for generations. During that time, our village shop—whether known as Dolly’s, Lewis’s, Crescent Stores, Spar, or simply “The Shop”—has always been a cornerstone of our community.
Since 1937, the Lewis family has run Spar Minster Lovell with care and dedication, providing more than just goods—they’ve provided a lifeline for so many of us. But now, they need our help.
On the 27th of December, the shop suffered a devastating ram raid, just months after a break-in in September. These heartbreaking incidents have caused significant financial damage and deeply affected Lyn and Dave Lewis, who live above the store. The trauma and stress have taken a toll on them emotionally, and the shop’s income has suffered, showing a loss of £20,000 compared to this time last year.
After the first break-in, the family wanted to install metal shutters, but the costs were simply out of reach. Now, with the latest attack, improving the store’s security is no longer an option—it’s a necessity.
We’re asking for your support to help raise funds for:
• Metal shutters to prevent future break-ins.
• A Smoke Cloak system to deter and neutralize intruders.
• Upgraded alarms for faster response times and better protection.
This store isn’t just a business; it’s the heart of Minster Lovell, a place that connects and sustains our village. We can’t afford to lose it.
Every donation, big or small, will help secure the shop and bring peace of mind to Lyn and Dave. Let’s come together to protect this vital part of our community and show the Lewis family how much they mean to us.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
