Support Springfield's Haitian Community Center

The Haitian Community Help & Support Center in Springfield supports their Haitian nationals through ESL classes, driving classes, cross cultural education, youth services, and other programming. Following the promotion of harmful and false stories about Haitians in this city, repeated bomb threats forced the evacuation and closure of public schools, colleges and municipal buildings as the city continues to deal with an unwarranted national spotlight.

This GoFundMe is raising money to support the efforts of Springfield's Haitian Community Help & Support Center and to stand up against racist stereotyping and anti-immigrant sentiment spread by Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, and other politicians. Rose-Thamar Joseph, a staff member at the Center reports “after the election and everybody’s done using Springfield, Ohio, as a talking point for immigration reform, we are going to be the ones here still living through the challenges and coming up with the solutions."
