Support S's Journey to Safety and Stability

*URGENT FUNDING NEEDED*

Hello, I am once again urgently raising funds for my friend S and their two dogs to secure housing and escape financial abuse at the hands of a family member.

About six months ago, our community rallied together to raise funds for my friend to keep their apartment and repair their dryer. We were hoping we would be able to get them out of their situation at that time, but due to their lease and some job complications they were forced to stay. Unfortunately, their situation has only gotten worse. Their abuser has screwed them out of nearly $2000 for rent and bills, while spending money constantly on everything except keeping their home. S is severely disabled and has an elderly dog, as well as a new puppy that was gifted to them (without asking) after their puppy died under strange circumstances. They've continued to overextend themselves to support and feed their nephews and support animals-- often to their own detriment--and they can no longer eat well, relax, or properly rest.

Luckily, they have a very understanding landlord who is willing to let them out of their lease early, as long as they can get caught up on rent. Part of the funds will also be allocated to getting diagnostics run on their car, as their check engine light came on and there's a bubble in their tire. As I'm sure you can imagine, having their car is wholly necessary for safely escaping their situation. They will also need funds to secure new housing, catch up on the bills that are behind, and hire movers, as none of our friend group is lucky enough to live nearby. All told, we would like to to raise $6000 for them.

I know this is a big ask, and I know times are hard but if you have it to spare, please consider my friend. They give everything they have to help people and just like every living thing, they deserve housing and to live as comfortably as possible. As previously mentioned, we have a very close knit group of friends and we will be holding onto the funds with S's full consent so that they will have full access to the them as soon as they need them.
