On the evening of 8/9/24, an electrical fire started in the basement of our beautiful church, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Sterling, Nebraska. The fire caused severe damage to the entire basement of the church, significant smoke and water damage to the sanctuary floor, grand piano, organ, hymnal books, bibles, and several other items. There was also significant smoke damage in the education wing of our church. Many people have reached out about wanting to donate towards restoration so here is our link to share with you all.
