Support Stacey Fung's Tennis Dreams
Donation protected
Hello everyone!
I have created this campaign as I am seeking support in my pursuit and dream of playing on the professional tennis tour.
Prior to Covid-19, I began my journey on the ITF tour where I was able to start to build my ranking, with hopes of being able to compete at larger WTA events. Unfortunately for the past year, I have not been able to compete due to the pandemic and travel restrictions. During this time I have been working incredibly hard to to improve and try and make the most out of the situation. In an effort to make this dream of mine a reality, I will need your help! The early stages of a professional tennis career are very expensive, with travel costs and accommodation, training, equipments expenses, tournament fees and other miscellaneous expenses being the most challenging to cover on my own. Any donations will be used to cover the expenses listed above.
I graduated from the University of Washington in June of 2019. While competing in Division 1 collegiate tennis I achieved the following:
- Singles career high ranking of #6 in the country
- All-American
- 3x NCAA singles qualifier
- Tom Hansen Medal recipient (Institution's performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics and leadership)
-Top Dawg (Female senior class highest caliber of excellence in athletics)
- 5th most singles wins in program history
With my first 6 months playing on tour, prior to Covid-19 I achieved:
- Singles ranking of 798
- Doubles ranking of 739
- 15k Cancun singles finalist
- 15k Metepec singles finalist
- 15k Cancun doubles finalist
- 2020 Female Player of the Year (TennisBC)
Growing up in North Vancouver and playing tennis since the age of 8, tennis has taught me much more than I could have ever anticipated. The discipline, work ethic and enjoyment of overcoming and breaking self barriers are some of the reasons that I love the sport.
I am extremely grateful for any help that I can get, and appreciate the time you have taken to check out this page.
