Support Stacy's Fight Against Anxiety; Keep Her Housed

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kelly, and I am creating this in support of my oldest sister, Stacy, and her beautiful family. Over the past year, she has been facing immense challenges regarding her mental health. She struggles with severe anxiety and major depression, which has profoundly impacted her ability to live and work. Due to this, she has been out of work since October.

Recently, she's tried returning to work—not because she feels ready, but because her family is on the brink of losing everything she's worked so hard to build. Unfortunately, her anxiety often overwhelms her, forcing her to leave work before she can really get back on her feet. She's determined to keep trying, but in the meantime, they are at risk of losing their home if they can’t catch up from back rent by the end of April. (That's one week away!) Not to mention the plethora of other bills that have been piling up. In addition to rent, they’ve fallen behind on water, garbage, and car payments. While the car is the least of her worries, she's deeply concerned about keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table. This is the reality they're facing—heartbreaking, but true.

"I’ve done everything in my power to keep us afloat during this difficult time, and my boys have been incredibly supportive and proactive as well. But it’s hard to put into words how deeply this has affected our lives. For years, I worked tirelessly to create a stable and comfortable life for us, and now I find myself barely able to leave the house, drive, or be around people." - Stacy

To be honest (and if you know her, you know), she's faced challenges her whole life and has worked endlessly and diligently through them while raising her three boys on her own. The frustrating part for me as her little sister is that I see how hard she works and fights daily. She has even worked in the social services field for so many years, understands how things work, knows the calls to make and places to go... yet she is struggling to find and get the support she needs. Mental health is an epidemic, and the support just isn't there as it needs to be. If you've never experienced anxiety or depression, consider yourself lucky.

"Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained."
— Arthur Somers Roche
