Support Stacy's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

Hi, my name is Cassidy and I am trying to raise some money for medical expenses for a dear friend of mine. Stacy Lorenzo came into my life a little less than a year ago. We met as she just transitioned from being a nursing assistant with Hospice to GCMC on my unit. If anyone knows the strength, resilience and difficulty this transition takes, you know this was not going to an easier position, but Stacy was up for the challenge. From the first moment I met Stacy, I knew that she had a true calling to care for those during their most vulnerable times. She exudes JOY in the midst of adversity and continues to be a bright spot for her patients and all who work beside her.

Unfortunately, Stacy was just recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer that was causing a biliary obstruction, which was making her extremely itchy for a few days prompting her to make a quick trip to employee health while working. It was found that some of her labs were quite elevated prompting a CT scan of the area which revealed a mass. They were able to stent the area to provide some relief and a plan was executed very quickly. Stacy was to have a port placed and start chemo ASAP.

Stacy plans to continue taking care of others while going through chemo and it is our goal to help alleviate some financial burden that these things place on many people (even with insurance).
