Stanbridge Academy is a K–12 school in the Bay Area dedicated to helping kids with mild-to-moderate learning differences. From early grades through graduation, Stanbridge supports students who learn differently to grow academically, socially, and emotionally at a school where they are heard, understood, and celebrated. As a Stanbridge staff member, I am part of this amazing community, and hope you will join me in supporting our school's Annual Fund campaign—a fundraising effort that impacts all aspects of our program.

 

Founded in 1982 specifically for children with special needs, Stanbridge Academy has helped hundreds of LD students build bridges to a brighter future. Stanbridge has been a lifeline for families who have struggled to find a school that not only meets the specialized needs of their children, but also provides a whole-school curriculum that includes arts, athletics, transitions planning, social learning, executive function support, and extracurricular enrichment.

 

But don't just take my word for it. The impact Stanbridge can have is best summed-up by our students, including one 2021 Stanbridge High School Graduate who wrote in her graduation speech:

 

“When I first shadowed at Stanbridge, everyone made me feel welcome and that I belonged at this school. The students here are just like me and understand my struggles. After I decided to leave my old school, I remember crying with my mom because I was so happy to find a place where I could learn and get all the great support that I needed. It turned out to be a great place for me...Stanbridge has been amazing!”

 

This story, and so many others like it, is why I became involved with Stanbridge, and it is why I am asking you to please consider a donation.
