Support STEM Academy Robotics: FRC Team 5572: The Rosbots

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is an international high school competition that reinforces STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in real application, beyond classroom basics.

FRC Team 5572, The Rosbots, was started in 2014 with 5 students and has grown to over 50 students. Our team has qualified for the World Championships 5 of the past 10 years. While this is an admirable achievement, the program is expensive.

This year, the slimmed down budget for the robotics team is $50,000. NEISD has allotted $15,000, while the remaining $35,000 is raised by the students/parent association. Funds are solicited through corporate grants, sponsorships, and personal donations. This GoFundMe page is one avenue for achieving our goal. All money goes to the program. There are no administrative costs, salaries, etc. Funds are spent on the student project - robot components, competition fees and food/travel expenses.
