Support Steph battling Tripple-Neg Breast Cancer

I am launching this GoFundme for an incredible friend and an amazing teacher within the Cherry Creek School District who is in dire need of our support and compassion.

Steph is also a proud Eaglecrest High School alumni from Class of 1996, she embodies the values, strength, and perseverance instilled in every alumni. Her dedication to her profession, students, and community is truly remarkable. It is our turn to rally behind her, supporting her through these challenging times.

Ms. Cavanagh (Steph) has dedicated her life to shaping young minds within our community. Her unwavering commitment to education, compassion, and empathy has touched the lives of countless students throughout her career. However, she is currently facing a devastating battle against triple-negative breast cancer, making her situation all the more heart-wrenching.

In addition to her own health struggles, Steph also carries the weight of being a widowed parent. Her daughter (Aspen) is entering her first year of college, a time that should be joyous and filled with excitement. Instead, they are faced with overwhelming financial burdens due to mounting medical bills and the absence of a second income following the passing of her husband from pancreatic cancer almost six years ago.

We believe that no teacher, especially one as remarkable as Steph, should be burdened with such heavy financial stress while fighting a life-threatening illness. Therefore, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign to rally our community together and provide Steph with the support she needs during this challenging time.
