Support Stephanie Diaz's Battle with Breast Cancer

My name is Stephanie Diaz I’m 27 years old and on Thursday February 6th 2025 I got diagnosed with breast cancer. Few months ago just a few days before my 27th birthday I started feeling ill, at first I thought that it may have been just a flu or something that would just go away, but as time went by it wouldn’t go away some days were better than others but I just felt off and I knew something was wrong I went from being someone who rarely got sick to always being sick feeling tired just not myself at all. At this point I started missing work continuously going to the hospital trying to find answers and because I don’t have insurance I couldn’t afford to go to a doctors office. I began to be very worried especially since the hospitals were telling me their was nothing wrong. Thoughts of what it could be started to unravel In my mind and the main thing I could think of was cancer. On June 18th 2021 I unfortunately lost my mother to a battle of cancer, her and my aunt both have the brca2 gene which is a strong genetic chance of getting breast cancer or ovarian cancer. A few months later on December of 2024 I found a lump in my right breast. I decided it was time to act fast I gathered some money together to go see a doctor and go get tested for the gene unfortunately i came out positive for the brca2 gene as well so at this point i knew the chances of what I thought was wrong was high. My doctor referred me to get a mammogram with that came a biopsy as well after the results came back I was officially diagnosed with breast cancer. I never thought that me at just 27 would be experiencing a thing like this at my age. Soon I will get surgery and then unfortunately receive chemotherapy. I never thought I would be in this position to ask for help but anything that can be granted to help me fight this battle will be greatly loved and appreciated, even just a simple share would mean a lot thank you for hearing my story.
