Support Stephanie in Defeating Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Have you ever known that one person who you could always count on? The rock everyone crashes against? The upbeat supportive, brutely honest, a fun-loving person you just want to be nearby? The one person who will fight to the bloody end for her family and friends? That is my mom.
In August of 2022, my mom Stephanie Marsden was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer. Mother of two (Sydney, 25, a Firefighter/EMT-P and Brenden, 20, a junior at Lords University) and loving wife of Doug Marsden for 26 years.
My mom has been a Chiropractor for 18 years treating patients with holistic medicine including Acupuncture, nutrition, and cold laser therapy. She owned her clinic for over a decade helping others and their families with pain and overall wellness. She has always believed in the importance of healthcare from all-natural sources and deriving treatment from what God provided us. My mom is the most giving person I know in that she is always putting the needs of others before her own, inspiring me to go into public service following her example.
In July, my mother’s dream came true when she and my dad moved to Florida, where they have always wanted to live and she found an excellent job. However, less than a month later, she was diagnosed and is no longer able to work. Tumors have metastasized and spread throughout her body and are causing her immense pain. She is unable to sit or stand for over 30 minutes in any one position, preventing her from doing the work she loves. Despite this, she has not allowed her condition to ruin her spirit. Her favorite color yellow has always been and always will be her life motto: her optimism shines through every day, even through her pain.
My mom has met with several doctors from Mayo Clinic and has examined all traditional methods. After extensive research, she has decided to follow the path that coincides with her findings and beliefs.
In October she is receiving a new spot treatment on one of her tumors to attempt to ease her pain. We are hoping to be able to send her to a Holistic Cancer Center in Mexico (Hope4Cancer Center) for a 3-week treatment followed by a 12-month recovery. However, insurance will not cover this clinical treatment. The cost of the treatment center is roughly, $75,000.
We are asking for your help with financial support. We realize it will take a community to get us there. All the donations will go directly to my mom for the cost of the clinic, travel, food any other medical expenses.
We are all exceptionally confident and feel that we have found the path to cure my mom. She is extremely optimistic, and she will never stop fighting. We understand that we are short on time and have faith we can meet our goal. She has a long road ahead of her but if anyone can do this, I know my mom can. Please help my mom heal from her cancer; every little bit helps.
Please bless my mom with loving prayers for her to make a full recovery.
Thank you, we will continue to update you on her recovery.
