Support Stephen Klepper's Documentary Mission in Uganda

Everyone has a story. That’s a phrase I have heard many times in my life. But what I have come to learn is that not everyone's story gets told. On April 28th, 2024, Joan Chapman and Erebu John Michael “Uncle Mike” came to our church to talk about what they do in Uganda. I walked out of church that morning, looked at my mom, and said, “I want to go to Uganda and film a documentary.”
I was doing a video series at our church called “This Past Sunday,” which gave whoever spoke that Sunday a chance to go more in-depth. After working with Joan and Uncle Mike that week, Joan messaged me saying, “I think we need to talk about you coming to Uganda with me to do a full-length documentary.”
This was crazy for me because I hadn't mentioned the documentary to Joan. Yet she was the one to reach out and ask. I knew that God was up to something, so after many days of prayer and careful consideration, I said yes.
So no, not everyone's story gets told, but I have been given the opportunity to tell a story, and I need your help.
Our flight to Uganda will leave on September 26th, 2024. We will be staying in Soroti, Uganda, until we leave on October 31st, 2024, and land back in Michigan on November 1st, 2024.

About Mustard Seeds
Mustard Seeds Women's Initiative Uganda (MSWI) is a Ugandan-based women's charity organization dedicated to working with women, especially vulnerable girls, girls still in school, teen mothers, and school drop-outs in the poorest communities of the Teso sub-region. The mission of MSWI is to help these individuals attain a better future by meeting their psychological, spiritual, and material needs.
A key initiative of Mustard Seeds involves distributing reusable sanitary pads to over 5,000 at-risk girls, along with providing education, tailoring, and psychosocial support. Founded in 2018 by a Bible study group in North Athens, Michigan, the organization began by creating washable, reusable sanitary pads to help girls stay in school.
The overarching goal of Mustard Seeds is to ensure sustainable improvement in the quality of lives for these women and girls. Through the distribution of washable sanitary pad kits and empowerment programs, MSWI strives to share the love of Christ and support their education and life skills.

About Me:
My name is Stephen Klepper, I am 19 years old, and I've been in love with making videos since I was 8! After many attempts at making videos, whether that succeeded or failed, I still have yet to lose that love. It feels like I've always been working on something video related, whether that be making gaming videos in my room, or shooting videos for church, I feel like it hasn't stopped since it started. I don't want it to either! If you told 8 year old me that I was given the opportunity to go and film in Uganda, I don't think I would've believed you, yet here we are!
When I was about 15 I started falling in love with short documentaries on YouTube. The channel that I really enjoyed was "Yes Theory" and I have had a dream of doing something similar since. My goal is to tell stories and show that there is good in the world in places that you've only heard bad things about. As time has gone on, that dream has only gotten stronger, and as of recently, achievable. Thank you for taking the time to learn about this opportunity and thank you for helping to make a dream possible!
