stepmom is raising money for their biggest project yet Profitopia: A stepmom Immersive Experience and EP release in collaboration with Factory Obscura

Prepare to be transported into a world where music, art, and narrative blend seamlessly with "Profitopia: A stepmom Immersive Experience." This temporary art installation reimagines the traditional EP launch, transforming stepmom's forthcoming EP into a multi-sensory journey like no other. Open to the public November 1-December 8, 2024, “Profitopia” will open with a live performance on Halloween Night, October 31, 7:30pm. The experience is created in collaboration with Factory Obscura, located at 25 NW 9th St in Downtown Oklahoma City.

About stepmom

stepmom is an orchestral dream punk band from Oklahoma City that combines dreamy harmonies and ambient textures with angsty guitar riffs and powerful vocals, creating a unique sound that explores the feelings of disillusionment and longing in a distorted society.

The band is the creative brainchild of lead singer and guitarist Lindsey Cox, whose vision is brought to life with the help of musical collaborators: Cheyenne McCoy on bass and cello, Amie Reardon on drums and oboe, and Bailey Pelletier on synth and keys. Together, they create a musical experience that is both ethereal and edgy, reflecting the complex emotions of today's society. stepmom’s music is not just heard but felt, resonating deeply with listeners navigating their own paths in a chaotic world.

A Multi-Sensory Journey

Participants will embark on an immersive adventure through four distinct environments, each correlating with a specific song from stepmom’s new EP "Profitopia". Participants are encouraged to bring headphones (a pair will be provided if needed), to stream the EP while exploring each environment. Fixed listening stations will be provided for those who do not have a smartphone.

Corporate Campus with a Twist

Set within a fictional corporate campus, "Profitopia" offers an array of amenities typically found in a bustling office environment. As the experience unfolds, a gripping narrative reveals the dark secret lurking behind the corporation’s pristine facade.

Participants will enter the scene in the aftermath of a dramatic incident, engaging with the transformed environment and experiencing the fallout firsthand.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

In addition to providing an unforgettable experience, stepmom is committed to giving back to the community. A $1 donation from every Profitopia ticket sale will go to support the Oklahoma Rock Camp for Girls, fostering creativity and empowerment for the next generation of female and non-binary musicians.
