Support Steve & Meredith's Medical Recovery

Steve Blanchard recently suffered a stroke. I'm sure you can share in my dismay when I learned that he was in need of many months, possible years of therapy in order to recover. A little backstory, Steve played the Beast when I played Belle. He had been in the role for many years when I joined the cast and even being the 15th Belle, he welcomed me and was so gracious as I made my debut. Meredith and I met while touring with On the Record -- Meredith and Steve quickly became family. They are the kind of friends that can pick up right where we left off even though time may have passed. I want to help my friends and I know they could use the support of our greater community - If you can and are willing, please donate any amount to help support Steve and Meredith on their road to recovery.

The below is from Meredith: The Neurologist who examined Steve and the MRI has discovered he has had a stroke in the top right hemisphere of the frontal lobe. The bleeding has affected the part of the brain that controls the left side motor skills and he is unable to move anything from the neck down on the left side besides minimal arm movement. Luckily his right side is strong and unaffected.

He will be transferred to a Physical Therapy Medical facility where he will begin a rehabilitation program to help his brain relearn how to use his left side. Walking again is the goal and we know in the next 6 months to a year or so he will do it!
