Support Steve Perry in his cancer battle
Donation protected
I don’t believe we are ever prepared to hear the word “cancer” .....especially when it’s placed upon someone that you love and adore. Never can you fully grasp how it feels to be told that you have cancer. It’s terrifying and no matter what the severity, it is always at the front of your brain reminding you that life is fleeting. In 2015 our brother, husband, friend, uncle, son, Steve Perry was diagnosed with throat and mouth cancer. We were told that it was not something we should be too awful concerned about because it was highly treatable and the prognosis was very good. We were so thankful for the healing that God did in Steve’s life back in 2015. Sadly, in January 2019 steve’s cancer returned but this time in a very sensitive area of his neck. This cancer is in a very delicate area of his neck surrounding his carotid artery which made surgery not an option. Steve began chemotherapy shortly after diagnosis and before too long the doctors noticed that the chemotherapy was no longer working. In June of this year Steve was approved to undergo proton beam therapy, which seems to have worked. We are so thankful for that, but the therapy has left him with many major side effects that has made it impossible for him to go back to work. Steve hasn’t worked since January of this year. Laura, Steve’s wife, took family medical leave to help him through these difficult months and with Steve’s health still a concern, Laura is not able to go back to work because he needs round-the-clock care. This has caused a tremendous financial burden on this sweet family. So many of their friends and family have been generous donating in every way possible with fundraisers and special events, but unfortunately because Steve cannot yet go back to work, there is no money coming in and there is absolutely nothing left. We ask that you pray about a donation, in support of the Steve Perry family. No amount is too small and everything given will go directly to the living expenses and treatment for this special man. I cannot thank you enough for supporting this family during this difficult time and we covet your prayers as we continue to pray for complete healing.
