Support the RNLI in Steve Clowes’s Memory
Donation protected
Thank You
My family and I would like to thank you with all our hearts for your generous donations. Your kindness covered all the legalities incurred to say goodnight. They also paid for the most fitting day to celebrate to our pops, husband, Steve at Sheffield Tigers Rugby Club.
Beyond this, the remainder of the donations paid to complete a 20 year long project at the Clowes family home. Dad started to build his dream pond back in 2007. Life got in the way but in his latest years, he worked incredibly hard to finish creating a peaceful space for our family to be together around the serenity of water. The pond is a place to be with him always and we’re pleased to say it is now complete and home to several Koi Carp. Keeping Koi is a passion Mum & Dad shared for many years. One that has been passed onto myself and no doubt will continue on with my siblings in the years to come. It means the world to our family to have somewhere to sit outside and be with him and our gratitude goes to you and the friends who helped finalise bringing his dream to light.
The final donation went towards the inscription of Steve Clowes on the wheelhouse of Exmouth's RNLI Shannon class lifeboat. Each time the volunteer lifeboat crew launches to the rescue, he will be right there alongside them.
We would like to leave the fundraiser open a little longer. Any further donations will be sent to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution in Dad’s name.
All our hearts, Beth, Viv, Becka, Kayla, Jack and Will x

On Saturday 25th May, my dad, Steve took his final journey to sea. As a highly experienced technical scuba diver, he was exploring the English Coast when for unknown reasons, he didn't make it home. Words cannot describe the devastating hole he leaves in our hearts and he will be deeply missed.
In this incredibly difficult time, I am turning for help to support my family to apply to the courts for a presumption of death certificate, allowing our family to deal with his estate and to hold a memorial. They will also help my mum to continue work on our family home, an ongoing renovation that Dad tackled himself with the help of his family and friends. Thank you for your kindness and for keeping my Dad, Steve, in your thoughts and hearts.
