Support StitchSpace LA

StitchSpace LA is a place where people of all ages can come and explore sewing and fiber arts in a supportive and loving environment. Amy Russell is an amazing teacher, a mom of three and an incredibly warm and energetic sewist. I’m Samantha Bloom, a costume designer, teacher, and fiber artist with a love for bringing all three of those things together. When Amy and I met it was clear that we had a shared dream. We wanted to create a community of sewists where people would feel safe and encouraged to grow. In 2019 we put our heads together to make it happen despite our limited financial means. We were able to get our hands on a loan that had just enough money to get us off the ground. In September 2019 we opened our doors and each month our community has continued to grow. 

The economic crisis has put a stop to our potential growth as we focus on gathering the funds to stay afloat.   We have applied to several loans to help small businesses in this crisis but there is no way of knowing whether aid will come in time for next months rent.  We hope our community is able to help us in this stressful time.  Any donation is appreciated.
