Support Stuart, Jamie & Lillian's Recovery

Friends and Family of Steinbock/Pantess (Panbock) Clan,

On Saturday night, February 1, 2025, Stuart, Jamie and Lillian were hit head on by another vehicle while visiting Coastal Carolina in Conway, SC. All we know is that the vehicle crossed the centerline and struck them head on.

What we DO KNOW is that Stuart, Jamie and Lillian were left with an unimaginable amount of injuries. We are grateful that they are alive and that we can care for them. We humbly ask for your help to do so... care for them.

All three of them have and will continue to require surgeries:
On Saturday night, Jamie and Lillian were airlifted to MUSC, while Stuart was transported to another hospital.

Stuart dislocated his hip and has damage to the joint that may require future surgery. He is currently taking pain medication and moving by crutches, walker, or wheelchair. He is spending his time with doctors, surgeons, nurses, insurance, employers, schools, and rehab facilities, etc. for all 3 of them as he determines their current and future plans of care. This includes the next steps of rehab and recovery in Charleston, SC until they can return back to Goshen.

Lillian had significant damage to the vertebra and after surgery, earlier this week, has started PT and the recovery process, but ultimately she will require extensive Physical Therapy in the months ahead. At this time, we are unsure if the therapy will be residential or outpatient, they are waiting on doctors recommendations. This will pose an additional strain moving forward as Stuart is not able to care for Lillian at the level of support that she will need during this recoupment time.

Jamie has endured the worst of the injuries. She was airlifted to MUSC and quickly put on a ventilator. Jamie sustained multiple fractures and internal damage which will require multiple surgeries before she can come off of the ventilator and begin her path to recovery. While she is listed as Critical but Stable condition, through varied opportunities Stuart has had the ability to talk with her, see her smile, and blink at him.

While they are getting their medical needs met, day by day, they will likely be in South Carolina for the next couple of months. At this time, it is uncertain when any of them will be able to travel in order to get back to Louisville. These costs add up quickly.

What is needed? How can you help?
As of today, Money for medical bills, current hotel/living costs, continued post-care, food, any changes to the house to create a livable house requiring minimal/zero stairs.
In the future, as we know more, Human Time/Support who can help with rotation of care, helping to transition the house to make it livable on a first floor basis, knowledge of post-care solutions for such injuries, etc.
