Support students at Haverstock School

Donation protected
Haverstock is a school and community driven by compassion and understanding. Our singular mission is to provide every student with the ability to achieve their ambitions, whatever they may be. As the school community has grown we have welcomed students from a myriad of back grounds and cultures, encompassing students from across the globe, welcoming them to our school and providing them with a safe place to learn and to flourish. Many of these young people have come to us under great personal duress and we are inspired and amazed at what these students have undertaken in order to access their education and a safe learning environment.

With the country in a current state of flux, with the considerable rise in the cost of living, induced by recent domestic and global events, these students are again experiencing barriers that impact on their personal and educational development and wellbeing. We as a community cannot let this happen to young people who have already faced monumental disruption to their lives and learning. It is time that we really embrace the ethos statement of the school; we step forward to act with kindness and allow these students to aim as high as they possibly can.
We want all Haverstock students to have access to the most basic necessities that every citizen, especially every child, has a right to in this country. We want to remove the burden from families already struggling to provide the elementary requirements for themselves and their children. That is why we implore you to support us in providing funds for amenities such as uniforms and food, things many of us take for granted, but that will provide our most needy students and families with the ability to have a healthy and productive life.

We started by addressing the school as a community and this is how we at Haverstock think of ourselves. With this in mind we want to support everyone within our community through these difficult and uncertain times. The true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members and I know that we as a community, a microcosm of society, will demonstrate that we treat our most vulnerable in a way that elevates us all to a point where we can all achieve our ambitions together.
