Support Subash's Inspiring Mountain Conquests

I am Subash Ghimire, and today I reach out to you with utmost humility, seeking your support for a cause that holds immense personal significance. I am grateful to my brother, Sujan Ghimire, who has taken the initiative to fundraise on my behalf, understanding the challenges faced by young Nepalese like myself and the importance of supporting our dreams and aspirations.

Sujan himself has experienced the hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the loss of his job as a professional trekking and tour guide. In search of better opportunities, he had to leave our beloved country. However, he firmly believes that it is crucial to provide support to young Nepalese back home, enabling them to pursue their goals and become sources of inspiration for others. It is his unwavering faith in the potential of individuals like myself that has prompted him to seek your generous assistance.

I come from humble beginnings, having grown up in a tiny village in central Nepal. Our daily struggles included water scarcity and limited resources. Despite these hardships, my father, working as a dedicated mountain expedition cook, made tremendous sacrifices to provide for our family and support our education. His unwavering dedication inspired me, instilling within me a deep appreciation for education and a burning desire to achieve something extraordinary.

Although I faced setbacks in my pursuit of joining the Gurkha army, I charted a different path in the trekking industry. Through perseverance and determination, I have successfully conquered several peaks above 6,000 meters, each step fueling my ambition for even greater challenges.

Now, my ultimate dream is to conquer the treacherous peaks of the Himalayas, including Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ama Dablam, and the mighty Mt. Everest. However, embarking on these expeditions requires substantial financial support. The costs associated with essential gear, permits, guides, logistics, and training are formidable. Unfortunately, the impact of the pandemic has depleted my savings, leaving me in need of external assistance to make my dreams a reality.

Your contribution to my cause will not only help me pursue my personal aspirations but also become an integral part of a larger movement. It will serve as a beacon of hope for the people of Nepal, especially the young Nepalese who are leaving their country in increasing numbers each day for opportunities abroad, demonstrating that with unwavering determination and resilience, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve greatness.
