Support- Sumesh Family in Their Time of Need

Donation protected

On October 25, 2023, a tragic road accident in Estevan, Canada, claimed the life of Sumesh Pulavathil (38), leaving behind a grieving family and a shattered community. Sumesh, a native of Thripunithura, Kerala, India, had come to Canada last year to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan with his family, and for the past couple of months, they had been residing in Regina, Saskatchewan. Sumesh's family consists of his wife, Gayathri Ramdas, and their two children aged 12 and 6. He was a sociable and generous member of our society, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and spreading positivity wherever he went.

Sumesh's Dreams and Aspirations
Sumesh had come to Canada with big dreams for his family. He aspired to provide a better life for his children, particularly to support his son's passion for badminton. He was coaching his son to reach new heights in the sport, nurturing his talents and dreams. Their dreams and aspirations have been shattered with the untimely loss of Sumesh, a loss that can never be compensated.

A Community United

In the face of this tragic loss, the Regina Malayalee Association and Saskatoon Malayalee Association are joining hands to initiate a fundraiser for Sumesh's family. Gayathri Ramdas, Sumesh's wife, will be the beneficiary of this fundraiser. Sumesh and his family had recently migrated to Canada, and he was striving to support his family through his job. With his sudden and unforeseen demise, the family of Sumesh now faces unexpected expenses, such as funeral costs, and the challenge of moving forward without their beloved husband and father.

Your Support Matters

We appeal to the wider community in Canada and beyond to come forward and support this noble cause. Sumesh's life was characterized by compassion and generosity, and it is only fitting that we, as a community, come together to help his family in their time of need. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in the lives of Gayathri and her two children as they navigate this challenging period of grief and adjustment.
