Support Suzanne Carr - Medical Expenses
Donation protected
On the morning of December 29, our dear friend Suzanne unexpectedly suffered two strokes. Her wife Taylor found her unconscious, prompting a 911 call where she was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.
After a scary 24 hours, family learned that Suzanne suffered from multiple blood clots and blood hemorrhaging within her brain, and a broken humerus bone that kept her in the ICU for 12 days.
Suzanne eventually moved out of the ICU and spent 2.5 more weeks in the hospital. She was finally discharged on January 23 and moved to an acute rehabilitation facility for 10 days and is now finally home!
A part of Suzanne's recovery involves intensive outpatient rehabilitation, which means she will be off work for an extended amount of time, up to one year.
As everyone can imagine, this is an incredibly stressful and taxing time for Suzanne, her wife Taylor, as well as her parents and extended family.
Let's show Suzanne and her family all our love and support, and help take away some of the financial burdens. The last thing our friend needs to worry about right now is money. You can show your support two different ways:
1) Donate here!
2) In-person fundraiser: Join us Sunday, March 12 at the Leucadian at 2pm PDT. There will be a giveaway for prizes and a special Oceanside Candle Company "Lovie" candle for sale (all proceeds going to Suzanne's recovery fund).
