Support Sydney's Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
This is news we wish we didn't have to share. Sydney was training for a race in Summit County on Saturday, August 17th. She was attempting the Ten Mile Traverse. While attempting to cross between Peaks 2 and 3, she slipped and tumbled over 50 feet down the cliff where a tree broke her fall. Due to her location at the time, Search and Rescue was unable to get her out and they had to call in the National Guard. She was airlifted to Denver, where she is currently being treated for her many injuries.
She has sustained significant injuries, including many broken bones, cuts, scrapes, bruises. Luckily, she will make a full recovery.
We all know and love her resilient spirit and her positive attitude. We would like to take some stress off her plate during this difficult time and raise money to support her recovery, since it will take a long time. We know she loves this community and we know how much this community loves her. Any support you can give her is greatly appreciated!
