Dear Beloved Talio Guests,
First and foremost, we love and miss you tremendously. Talio was built on the premises that we wanted to be more than just a place where you got your hair done. We wanted to be the place where people felt that they were family. Guests can relax and trust that we would take care of them. Every single Talio personnel plays an enormous part in the culture that Renato and his family have worked so hard to create. Talio is not just a place of work, it is a place where all of us can connect with people and create relationships, new and old.
The Covid-19 Pandemic has been devastating and has affected us all, here in the United States and all around the world, including Italy where Renato is from. In 30 years of business, Talio for the first time, had to close its doors and lay off staff.
Many industries have been affected but the salon industry has taken a huge hit. The financial stress that this pandemic has had on our support staff and stylists, who are both paid by hour or commission has been horrifying. Renato and Elvira have been doing the best they can in trying to apply for the financial help that has been offered to small businesses. The truth of the matter is that closing our doors has created huge hardships to our dedicated staff whom we consider to be family.
Unfortunately, the reopening of our Salon has yet to be determined. We are not on set salaries, so the longer Talio stays closed the more hardships our staff must endure with no income being able to be generated.
We started this fundraiser to support our Talio family, through donations, so that they may be able to cover housing, food, healthcare, etc. 100% of funds contributed will go directly to our stylists and support staff. The amount we can distribute to our staff depends on how much we can raise. Donations to GoFundMe cannot be claimed as a tax write off.
Our goal is $75,000. We have 11 families not including Renato, that we help support. We will distribute funds equally to each of our staff via Venmo or check and will provide records and receipts of all distributed funds per request. All personal identifying information will be kept confidential. If the campaign raises more than its goal, the remaining funds will be distributed evenly.
We want all our guests to know that we absolutely love and appreciate you. Thank you for your pouring love and support in this horrible crisis from our Talio family to yours.
