Support Talon's Road to Recovery

My name is Brandon and I have the privilege of being the uncle to the young man whose story I am about to tell you.
If you don't know Talon, you're missing out because he is one of the funniest, kind, caring, selfless kids out there. The list of adjectives to describe this young man could go on forever, so I'll just leave it there. Talon is a 15-year-old who just finished up his sophomore year of high school, where he is active on his high school football and track teams. This athletic kid can't get enough of being active and in his free time you will see him playing every sport you can imagine with his friends. I can tell you right now Talon's top 3 most important things in his life are family, friends, and sports. He's got a great personality and sense of humor, if you've been lucky enough to hang out with the kid, I'm 100% certain he has made you laugh! Everyone who's ever met Talon instantly loves the guy and he couldn't make an enemy if he tried, that's what makes this next part so sad and unbelievable.
On June 29th at around 2:30am Talon was a victim to a horrific act of senseless random violence, where he was shot 3 times. Now I want to be clear he's going to be OK, but still no one should have to endure what he has endured. I will give you summed version of the details we have right now. Talon being the active kid he is was playing basketball near his house at 2:00am with 3 of his friends, why is he playing basketball at 2am you might ask, well that's a usual Talon thing to do. He and his friends then decided to go for a walk to a nearby middle school (as I used to do myself being a 15-year-old kid with nothing else to do on a Friday night). When they got to the end of their neighborhood's street, they were approached by a random car that asked them a couple of questions then drove off when they didn't provide answers. Shortly after the car drove off a barrage of over 30 bullets started being fired at the 4 young boys. Talon was hit 3 times, once in the face, once in the back, and once in the back of his thigh. One of the other boys was shot as well in the thigh. The reason Talon was hit more than everyone else unfortunately is because of the direction he ran when it all started. Talon being the savage he is and with the will to survive manage to run all the way home to wake his dad up. Shocked and in disbelief, his dad was able to tend to Talon while getting on the phone with paramedics and police for help. After the paramedics arrived, they worked on Talon in the house before taking him to the Auburn airfield where he was airlifted to Harborview. Talon's injuries are by some miracle non-life threating, but it’s still going to be a long road to recovery. The extent of his injuries are a gunshot wound to the face at the bridge of his nose just between his eyes, that has left him with a broken nose, facial fractures, a small fracture to his C1 vertebrae and nicked his carotid artery, a gunshot wound to the back of his thigh that resulted in some fractures on his hip, and a gunshot wound to his back that thankfully missed all major organs and cracked his rib.
This kid is a fighter and a survivor that did not deserve any this and it is a miracle that he is still here with us today.
I am making this GoFundMe to help his parents with any medical bills and to ensure Talon can get the best treatment while he recovers from this terrible time in his life that should be filled with friends and having fun not laying in a hospital bed.
The family appreciates all donations and help at this time. If you can't donate at this please feel free to share this go fund me and just send good thoughts and prayers for this awesome kid.
We love you Talon!
