Update: Tammy Ferris-Stewart is in her 6th round of chemo. The doctor told us that her cancer levels have lowered since the start of treatment. It looks like treatment might be working. Hello, my name is Jeri Goodman, and I'm reaching out to raise funds for my best friend, Tammy Ferris, who has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer.

When I first shared this, I realized I hadn't fully explained what Tammy means to our family. I've known Tammy for 40 years; she was my mom's closest friend and played a crucial role in raising my brothers and me. She kept us in line during our mischief-filled childhood, and her presence has been irreplaceable in our lives.

Tammy has recently endured significant losses in her life—my mom, her dad, and her brother, as well as close friends. Coupled with the news of her beloved dog's critical condition, she is struggling with depression, which is complicating her recovery. On top of it all, she faces the fear of losing her home and everything she has worked tirelessly for.

Just a week ago, Tammy underwent a challenging temporary colostomy procedure, which may necessitate another surgery. Although she's finally home from the hospital, she remains is unable to work.
