Support Tana & Will - Lev's Medical Expenses

Donation protected

10/12/2021 - I did a crazy thing.  I upped the goal amount.  Because why not?  Because it's been four months (about) since I found out about Lev's diagnosis.  And these beloved friends of ours just came through the hardest weekend of their lives.  Seriously, no one should have to go through that. But Lev is strong as a lion and he lives on to fight another day! So if you are able to donate, for the first time or again, please do  -  though no pressure AT ALL, because the giving has already been AMAZING. But the expenses don't stop in this situation, and a move to a big city hospital may be happening before long.  Thank you again, SO MUCH, to those that have already donated.  Tana and Will are speechless with gratitude.  I promise I'll update if more ways to help and support them come up, but right now they're just plugging along, trying to live well through this difficult time.

** We've reached the amazing goal of raising $20,000.  Thank you so much to everyone that has donated thus far.  I am not going to increase the "goal" at this point, because I can't know what the need will be, but please continue to give as you can.  Let's reduce the financial burden for the family as much as possible.  Chemo has started and they may need to relocate, so costs will continue to grow. They are so grateful for all the support thus far and I hope we can continue to lift them up as much as possible.

Hello everyone,

Some may not be aware, but Tana and Will are currently in the midst of a sudden, and of course unexpected, medical situation with their son Lev. I'm sorry if this is how you are finding out, but we wanted to create support as soon as possible.

What we know: Lev had been feeling unwell and after not receiving answers elsewhere, they brought him to the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth. Doctors diagnosed neuroblastoma. On Wednesday morning, June 30, Lev underwent surgery and a biopsy was taken. We will know more, and update, when the results come back.

In addition to the medical expenses, there is a loss of income.  Will quit his job to be able to care for big sister Eve while Tana is at, or driving back and forth to, Dartmouth.  And going forward, it is possible the family will have to relocate to be closer to where Lev can receive treatment.  Every bit helps and everyone is so grateful for the generosity of support and donations.

Please respect the family's privacy as they navigate this difficult time. We are doing the best we can to create support in any way possible so they can focus on being there with and for Lev, as well as supporting and caring for big sister Eve.

If you can give any amount, it will be greatly appreciated. This situation is still very much up in the air, but no doubt there will be expenses beyond the scope of what any family can manage. I know that Will and Tana will be extremely grateful to have some of that burden relieved by the generosity of their family, friends, and community.

Thank you in advance for any contribution you can make. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I'll answer the best I can.

Sincerely,

Christie
