Help Tarver Rendon Teachers Resupply After Storm

A hail storm on March 8, 2025 caused significant damage to the roof of Tarver Rendon Elementary School. This led to serious water damage to 15 classrooms. While the school district MISD is completing repairs on the building, our community wants to help the 15 teachers who have lost nearly all teaching supplies due to water damage.

While the affected teachers are currently sharing their Amazon wishlists on social media, the goal of this fundraising campaign is to give more people in the community a simple way to help. The funds in the account will be distributed between the 15 teachers that experienced losses from the storm.

One of our second grade teachers, April Restis, lost nearly everything in her classroom to water damage. These pictures show her classroom Monday morning. School supplies, furniture, shelves, wall displays, books - all of these things will have to be replaced. The school district does not purchase these items for the teachers. She uses her own money and resources to make safe, comfortable, educational spaces for our children.
