Support Taryn & family during Taryn’s battle against cancer

Taryn is a 39 year old single mother who was recently diagnosed with stage four, metastatic, adenocarcinoma of the lung.

Not long after learning of this diagnosis and trying to make sense of it, we were told it not only doubled in size but that it had also spread to multiple spots in her body. It spread to her chest, stomach, kidney, hip & also to her brain, which has multiple spots.

Taryn has been seeking chemo treatment as well as other treatments both inpatient and outpatient, currently inpatient and has a long road ahead. Her outpatient care will require her to stay close to the Boston Hospital where she is being treated.

As if all of this isn’t bad enough, she also has a bad case of pneumonia, which doctors are finding difficult to treat due to the location of the cancer.

Also, today, 4/16 we learned she now has a collapsed right lung. It’s one thing after another and it truly seems like she just can’t catch a break.

But with all of that, we still remain hopeful.

There is power in prayer, and if you believe, please keep her in you prayers.

With all that being said, I know it’s a lot. I say that to say this…

Karen, Taryn’s mom, first, mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted due to all of the above, she too had to put off work to care for and support Taryn. She has utilized all of her financial options, PTO, sick time, etc… She lives out of state, just about 3 hours away and has to travel back and forth every few days. As you can imagine, it is taking a toll on her in many ways. Not to mention the out of pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance. So we ask, if you have the ability to donate to help Karen stay afloat during these trying times it would be greatly appreciated. NO DONATION is too small & every share helps!
