Asalam alayakum warahmatuallahi wabarakatu to everyone reading this.
On the night of October 31st, our beloved BSO member and ex-cultural secretary was involved in a multiple-car accident while coming back from celebrating a Nikkah with her friends. The accident claimed the lives of three and left seven severely injured (As of now). Tasfia Tahsin was among the ones severely injured and was immediately hospitalized where she is still undergoing surgery and surveillance. This incident has also been covered by several media as well (https://www.fox4news.com/news/deadly-halloween-night-crash-shuts-down-all-southbound-lanes-u-s-75)
***Update:
Currently she is hospitalized in the Dallas Presbyterium and her right leg has been amputated knee down because of the severity of the damage it received at the accident. Her left leg is also is critical condition and will also be removed soon. The doctor are currently planning doing surgeries on both her legs so that they can attach prosthetics them. We have raised our target from 100k to 200k after we confirmed with the family that they will be higher medical costs involved due to the prosthetics as well.****
Tasfia Tahsin (21) has always been a caring and supportive presence to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She has been an integral part of our BSO community as an officer and friend. As part of the Bangladeshi Student Organization at UT Dallas, we implore you to help us support Tasfia and her family in their difficult times; we seek to cover her medical and prosthetic expenses and also provide financial assistance to her family.
All the money donated will go towards Tasfia's family to help them cover her medical costs and also provide additional financial expenses. We ask you to please donate as much as you can and keep her and her family in your prayers.
