Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Hearts of Tate Baldwin,
We’re reaching out to let you know that we are kicking off a campaign to help Tate Baldwin's family as they navigate new waters, and we need your help! We have the best community, and so many are asking, “What can I do to help?”. Most of all, PRAY!
Tate is a 3rd grader at Deer Creek Prairie Vale Elementary School, where he is loved by all teachers and students. Tate is a "wild child" with the kindest soul in the world! He loves all things outdoors, from fishing and 4-wheelers to sports, especially football and basketball. He loves playing video games and being around his friends. He is full of personality that is accompanied by the loudest, most contagious laugh. Tate’s biggest love, which might rival his love for family, is his love for the Kansas City Chiefs!
On 1/6/2025, Tate started feeling ill. All signs point to a stomach bug, vomiting, and headache. After a few days of ups and downs, Mom knew something wasn't right. On 1/10/2025, a trip to the ER and a CT scan showed Tate was suffering from an intraventricular hemorrhage, which was due to arteriovenous malformations. Tate was rushed to Children's, where his parents met with a team of neurosurgeons ready to tackle Tate's case. Tate had an invasive eight-hour brain surgery on 1/14/25. During surgery, his brain's "circuit board" suffered a stroke when the aneurysm burst during surgery. Today and in the days to come, we pray for Tate's brain to heal. While it will be some time before we know the extent of the damage, we must pray, we must rally, and we must show Tate and family what it’s like to be a part of our amazing community.
The road ahead will be long and uncertain, but with your help, we can help provide Tate and family the support needed to fight and recover. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a tremendous difference in Tate's journey toward better health and a brighter future.
We understand that not everyone can contribute financially, but your support means the world to the family. The family asks for prayers most of all. Even sharing this page with your friends and family can help spread the word. The more praying warriors, the better! We will be launching different opportunities to help the family through this transition in their life.
We will update Tates Facebook Group page (Tates Brave Recovery Journey) with pictures and progress so you too can follow Tate's journey and success! Stay tuned for future fundraiser opportunities.
On behalf of Tate and Tate's family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, compassion, and love. Together, we are #teamtate.
