Support Tatyana Smith's Golf Journey

My name is Tatyana Roslyn Smith, I am a 16 year old Maryland Junior IAAM Golf Champion and member of the undefeated two time consecutive Maryland High School Golf Champions of the Bryn Mawr High School team.

I have created this Go fund me page to raise funds to help with my golf expenses. I am committed to finding resources that will help my father with my golf expenses. While I work as a caddie part-time, unfortunately what I earn is not enough to supplement the necessary investment needed to help me get to the next level.

I was introduced to golf by my father, who is a single Dad as my mom passed away due to breast cancer when I was almost 3. Not really comfortable with leaving me with people for long hours he opted to take me to the golf course to play with him… not realizing I would fall in love with the game. Over the last 12 years he has invested in my development, through training lessons, out of state camps, local and national tournaments, 1:1 lessons on specific skill development and research to learn techniques himself so he can teach me to ensure that I am growing as a golfer. We train 6 days a week most days starting at 5am. I am ranked 164 out of 5,000 in the PKB Girls Golf Tour.My current GHIN handicap of +4 and scoring average of 75.5 has resulted in invitations to participate in the:

• 2024 Congaree Global Golf Initiative, South Carolina

• 2024 Pure Insurance Championship, Pebble Beach Golf Course

• 2024 Notah Begay Regional Qualifier, Waynesboro Pennsylvania

• 2024 Maryland State Golf Association Women's Golf Amateur

• 2023/2024 IAAM Golf Championship

I created this go fund me to ask for your support to help my family with my golf expenses to continue my development and the range of recurring golf expenditures required for me to expand my skills and opportunities on and off the greens. These costs include:

• Junior Golf Membership Country Club ($8,000)

• Practice Facility ($500/month; $6,000 annually)

• Local Tournaments Fees & Travel (approx. 10 annually $350/each - $3,500) • Regional Tournaments Fees & Travel (3 annually $2,250/each - $6,750)

• Invitational Tournaments- Pebble Beach Fees & Travel ($6,000)

• National AJGA Tournaments (4 annually $3,000/each - $12,000)

• Coaching ($7,500)

• Golf Clubs, Balls, Equipment, Apparel - ($2,000 annually)

I am grateful and excited to excel in the sport of golf, I also committed to my academics as evident by my commutative GPA of 3.4

Some of my other activities include cross country, track, I serve as the Secretary/Treasure of class, and I am also a leader of the photography club at my school. My long term goal is to be a Lawyer.
