Support Tawny Benavente's Battle Against Leukemia
Donation protected
Our oldest sister, Tawny, has always been our guiding light and rock. Recently, she faced a severe health crisis that began with what seemed like a heart attack. In the ER, Tawny discovered she had pneumonia, dangerously low oxygen levels, anemia, chronic heart failure, and ultimately, acute myeloid leukemia.
Compounding her challenges, Tawny experienced severe heart irregularities, including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and Tachy/Brady syndrome. This led to a critical situation where a leadless pacemaker was implanted, and she received beta blocker injections to stabilize her heart rate. With her heart now more stable, Tawny has started chemotherapy. However, due to her delicate heart condition, she will need to stay in the hospital for ongoing monitoring throughout her treatment.
Despite these trials, Tawny remains remarkably optimistic and is supported by an excellent team at UW Medical Center in Seattle. She has always been our second mom, the voice of reason, and the one who selflessly cares for everyone else. Now, it’s our turn to support her.
Tawny’s unwavering optimism and selflessness have always inspired us. As a close-knit family, we are rallying to support her through this fight. We’re reaching out to raise funds to help with mounting medical bills and to secure a safe, permanent residence for Tawny. Her current living situation is unsafe, and she needs a secure environment to focus on her recovery once she’s discharged. We want Tawny to concentrate on her treatment and stay positive without worrying about financial strains. Your donations will help her focus on what truly matters—her health and recovery—without the added stress of financial burdens. Any contribution you can make will be deeply appreciated. Thank you for helping us support our incredible sister during this challenging time.
