Help Southwest Robotics Team 2129 get to World Champs 2025

Donation protected
At our regional competition in Grand Forks, our team was a member of the alliance that came in second place. After a nail-biting competition with many close matches, our success came about with help from our alliance partners from Cokato, Alexandria and Black Duck. Our amazing student programmers also snagged the special Autonomous Award for the team. The first 15 seconds of every match is the robot moving and scoring on its own with no one driving it and the Autonomous Award celebrates the team best able to accomplish that. As a result of our performance in Grand Forks, we QUALIFIED for the FIRST World Championship that happens in JUST OVER 2 WEEKS!!! We are honored to have the opportunity to compete with the best 600 teams from all over the world beginning on April 16th. Please help us raise the money needed to get to the championship in Houston! (Payment options are listed below.)

Our regular budget cannot cover the Championship, as its expenses are twice our normal budget, so this is a request for funding to help us register and travel to the competition.

As this is our third Championship trip, we've learned how to travel light! We will share a coach bus (24 hours on the road each way) with another team, quadruple up in hotels, and prepare our own food whenever possible. Even with care to economize, the trip will cost about $30,000 for 25 students and mentors.

In addition to seeking awards in FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), our sages will be able to tour world-famous team pits with our underclassmen as we bring them up to speed on concepts, technologies, and best practices for the seasons ahead. And, those mentoring FIRST Tech Challenge teams will be able to see the world’s best FTC robots as they compete nearby. This is an opportunity only a fraction of FRC teams are able to participate in and one that will change the way that our students view their FIRST Robotics experience!
