Raise the final salary for the Gay Star News team

Gay Star News has been sharing the stories of LGBTI people around the world since 2011, making sure every voice in the community is heard in the effort to bring diversity and inclusion to common culture.
Unfortunately, Gay Star News will unexpectedly go into insolvency with immediate effect, leaving 20 staff members without a job. This was announced to the team only a few days before pay day.
This GoFundMe has been created to crowdfund as much money as possible to support the hardworking team at Gay Star News who poured their hearts and souls into raising awareness for every member of the LGBTI community.
We just want to support these LGBTI workers while they find the next place to continue the work that has touched people around the world.
UPDATE: I have been informed that the UK staff at Gay Star News will receive a redundancy payment by the UK government (HMRC) in 6-8 weeks. However, as the staff were told about the immediate closure a few days before pay day, this fund still stands to plug the gap between the team's expected pay day on 31 July and the new one estimated between 11 - 25 September.
