Ten years ago, our brother-in-law Paul Jametsky won his battle with laryngeal cancer. He adapted to the loss of his voice and the use of a speaking device to communicate. Since then, he has been living life to the fullest. He has spent time capturing his experiences through the lens of his camera; enjoying camping and travel in the trailer with Chris and their two dogs, Suko and Sequoia; working on and showing his truck "Blue"...until last year when he once again underwent chemo, and a colostomy, this time for colon cancer. Hell of a year - and he/we thought he was home free. As he was wrapping up treatment, a 'final' routine scan in September showed his colon cancer has returned. It has metastasized and at this point has been deemed inoperable and incurable.

Although Paul has medical coverage, what it does not cover - copays, scans and residual costs and medical expenses incurred in the process of pursuing treatment are piling up. This hardworking man has been unable to work for over a year while battling colon cancer. With only social security and Chris' work income, the mortgage, food, utilities and day-to-day expenses are adding stress to the reality of the diagnosis and the medical costs at different facilities associated with it.

There is a powerlessness that we feel when someone we love is dealing with a diagnosis of cancer. We can join together to make a difference for Paul and Chris, to help them during this difficult time. This kind of action is a gift, and many small donations can lift them up.
