Hi there everyone, I'm reaching out to get some help for our parents Ted and Gina Triplett. Our parents are not the type to ask for help from anyone. They are the ones that would take their shirt off their backs to help somebody in need.

Our dad, Ted, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Larynx and Lungs.

On January 22nd, 2025, he got up to go to work and was having a hard time breathing. We rushed him to the ER where he ended up having emergency surgery for a tracheotomy, and they took a few biopsies.

A few days later, the results came back that he had this cancer but only in the throat. We have been making numerous trips weekly to St. Louis to the Siteman Cancer Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital, and other doctor offices.

On March 14th, he had a complete laryngectomy so he can eat and live his best life. The plan with the medical team, which has been "Excellent," was to do radiation. However, during his surgery, they found out that he had more cancer than what the PET scans had shown and had spread.

Then, they changed the plan of care to adding chemotherapy on top of radiation.

We just found out that this is so aggressive, that they are no longer going for a cure. In his best interest and way of life, they canceled radiation and will continue with chemotherapy. As of now, he's holding his own and is exhausted. Like anyone, having your loved one with you makes it more bearable and keeps him in better spirits.

Our awesome, big teddy bear, Cardinal fan-loving dad of 5 and grandfather of his 3 amazing grandchildren. again has a long, tough road ahead of him. So, I'm asking for some help for our parents with this big, all of a sudden, aggressive change. Anything that is received will help with transportation, lodging, food, bills, and anything that comes their way. Otherwise, the only other donation that we ask for are many prayers and thoughts. We plan on fighting this through and through.
