Support Texan Hero Chris Ray in His Time of Medical Need
Donation protected
On a busy street in Texas, Chris Ray witnessed a motorcyclist lay his bike down right in front of him. Chris's instincts kicked in without hesitation, and he immediately made a U-turn to assist the injured rider. While helping this fellow Texan, Chris suffered a severe injury and tore his bicep.
Chris's selfless bravery and kindness exemplify the true spirit of community and compassion. However, this courageous act has left him with significant medical expenses that he cannot cover alone. We are reaching out to you, our community, to help Chris in his time of need.
Your generous donations will go directly towards covering the medical costs associated with his injury, including surgery, rehabilitation, and any other necessary treatments. No matter how small, every contribution will make a tremendous difference in Chris's recovery journey.
Thank you for supporting a true Texan hero. Together, we can help Chris get back on his feet and continue to inspire others with his kindness and courage.

Here’s the full story.
On March 17th, my husband, Chris, and another person heard someone lay their motorcycle down on Telge and Spring Cypress. Chris was on his way to practice for an upcoming Disc Golf Tournament.
When Chris and the other vehicle heard the bike hit the pavement, they both made a U-turn to help the gentleman. Chris had told the other helpful man, who also turned around, to grab the bike's front end as Chris picked up the heaviest part of the bike. As they picked up the bike, the gentleman holding the front end said, “I know nothing about motorcycles,” he let go of the motorcycle, dropping the bike's front end. At that moment, the entire weight of the motorcycle was suspended and supported only by Chris’ arm. The literal gravity of the situation resulted in Chris’ bicep being torn in half.
After we checked Chris out, we found out that he requires surgery on his arm to get back to a normal life. Right now, he has had to put so much on hold. He has had to withdraw from two very big disc golf tournaments, which is an activity that brings him great joy. But that’s not why we are here today…
This injury has brought a substantial HARD STOP to the things that keep our household running. Chris can no longer do many things that he would typically do on a regular day. Besides being Mr. Mom, he cannot go on deliveries, which is a source of household income; disc golf is gone for now; he cannot work out, and not being able to use his dominant arm has stripped him of his biggest passion, cooking for his family and friends.

Chris is the one people call when they need help, whether with moving, preparing for special events, or so much more. Chris has always been there for others. He gave up big things so I could be where I am today.
Chris has such a big heart and kind soul. He is the type of person who never asks for anything. This is one of the hardest things for our family. For him not to be his happy-go-lucky self is so hard on him and us. Chris wishes he could care for his family in how he prides himself. It’s a couple weeks into this pre-surgery healing process, and he wants to feel normal, go out and have fun, throw a disc at a new course to work on his form, and keep improving. It has even been hard for him not to drive. This injury has left him unable to work.
It’s a lot, but we are all getting through it as a family and a TEAM.
One of the hardest things for me is seeing him feeling so bad while I have been doing everything since he is unable to do it. But I keep reminding him that as your wife, it's my turn to take care of you in this time of hurt and pain. You were doing it all when I broke my ankle. Now, it's my turn to help you out.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We hate to be in this situation, but as a family, we do not have health insurance, and this is a life-altering event. We ask for your support in raising funds to cover the surgeon, the operating room, and associated hospital bills. We hope to get some physical therapy visits as well. Asking for this help is heavy on our hearts, but we know our tribe can come together to help give him a soft place to land as he recovers.
Thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers, love, and wishes for a speedy recovery. We will take ALL the POSITIVITY we can round up. If you have a couple of bucks to spare, that would also be a tremendous help, but we are all aware of what it’s like out there. PLEASE SHARE! <3
