Help Thalia's Family Recover After Altadena Fire

Hello everyone, my name is Shaaya and I’m reaching out on behalf of my partner, Thalia, and her family.

On January 8th, 2025, Thalia's family lost their home and all their personal belongings in the Los Angeles County wildfires. Thalia's parents are immigrants who migrated to California decades ago and, like many other immigrant families, worked extremely hard to build a life in the United States. They built a successful party and catering family business from the ground up and were able to buy a beautiful home in the quaint suburban city of Alta Dena. They had been living in that home for the last 20+ years, building parts of the home with their own hands.

Thalia grew up in that home alongside her two brothers, where she would go on to become the first person in her entire family to receive a college degree, and also earn a JD and become a CA licensed attorney. That home meant everything to her and to her family. It is a devastating loss. They will rebuild and eventually they will move on from this disaster, but in the meantime, your support would go a long way as they navigate this journey.

The funds will be used to purchase essential items including clothing, food, interim housing, and supplement lost wages for the foreseeable future. They were evacuated without warning, losing all their personal belongings, including many items related to their family business. The family business supports everyone in that picture including those two beautiful children.

Losing a home is devastating under any circumstance, but the added urgency of the impacted family business amplifies the need for immediate assistance. Your donations will give the family a chance to stabilize their situation and ensure the kids' well-being in this challenging time.
