Today, on Inauguration Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we encourage you to donate to our American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) fundraiser. With your support, we hope to raise over $2,500 to support the ACLU’s litigation and advocacy efforts to defend our constitutional rights during the challenging next four years.

As one of the country’s premier civil rights organizations, the ACLU protects our fundamental rights, including reproductive freedoms, criminal legal system reform, voting rights, prisoners’ rights, immigrants’ rights, LGBTQ rights, free speech, capital punishment, and racial justice.

For over 100 years, the ACLU has led efforts in pivotal Supreme Court cases. In 1942, the organization denounced the internment of Japanese Americans in concentration camps. In 1954, the ACLU worked with the NAACP to challenge racial segregation in public schools. And in 1973, the ACLU fought for the legalization of abortion. Today, much of the ACLU’s work focuses on equality for marginalized people, including people of color, women, LGBTQ+ people, prisoners, immigrants, and people with disabilities.
