Support the Andrade Ojeda Family After Tragic Loss

Help support the Andrade Ojeda family after their tragic loss. Lourdes Ojeda Gonzalez was a loving wife, caring mother of 3, and loving grandmother of 6, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a spirited human being, full of life, always joking, and her laughter was infectious. She had a strong will to live, having overcome malignant salivary gland tumorous cancer. It seemed she would be on the winning side of the battle, but shortly after, doctors found a tumor in her spine and another one by her liver. She initiated chemotherapy and was scheduled for radiation, but the aggressiveness and celerity of metastasis were too much. Sadly, my aunt lost her battle on October 26th.

It is a difficult and strenuous life-changing experience having to face a devastating disease, not only for the patient but the entire family, as is the case for the Andrade Ojeda family. The four immediate members, her husband and three daughters, alternated caregiving, doctor's appointments, meals, and expenses. For one member, the responsibility was heavier as she eventually left work to care for and comfort my aunt as her health deteriorated due to the advancement of the cancer. Not only was it difficult for Claudia, my aunt's second daughter, but her two boys sometimes missed school or were late due to Claudia being exhausted from the overnight vigils she would spend caring for my aunt. Claudia sacrificed a lot to be at my aunt's side day and night during the most challenging episodes of the disease. This caused a hardship for all members of the family, and we ask for donations.

As you can see, it was a very difficult and challenging tribulation that the Andrade Ojeda family endured, which ended with our loved one losing the battle against cancer. We ask for your support to provide funeral services for the final resting place for Lourdes Ojeda Gonzalez. Your generous support is much needed due to the mounting expenses the family incurred during this arduous ordeal.
