Today, we bought one kilogram of flour for 40 shekels, which is equivalent to $11.98 — compared to its pre-war price of just 4 shekels, or one dollar. Despite the high cost, the flour is full of insects and is not even enough to satisfy our hunger for a single meal.
By the grace of God, we managed to get a few tomatoes — about half a kilo — for 25 shekels, which is equivalent to 8 dollars. Before the war, the same amount used to cost only 3 shekels. Just look at the unbelievable price difference!
The prices of peppers and eggplants have also become extremely high. This small amount of peppers cost 5 shekels, which is about $1.40 — whereas before the war, we could buy a whole kilo for the same price. As for eggplants, they now cost 25 shekels, while the price used to be just 3 shekels per kilo. This is our reality today — outrageous prices and a severe shortage of many vegetables like onions, lemons, and potatoes. And even if small amounts are available, their prices are far beyond what we can afford.
While my husband was on his way to collect a small amount of aid that could help us continue living with dignity, he was involved in a painful accident — he was hit by an aid truck. He suffered multiple fractures in his right leg and bruises in his left leg. By the mercy of God, he is now in stable condition.

Hello dear friends,
My name is Haneen Awad, a Palestinian from Gaza Strip. I'm a mother of 6 young kids aged between 22 and 9.
My daughter Naeema, 22 years old, is in her 2nd year of college studying public relations and media. Mumen, 17 years old, is in his last year of high school. Abdul Rahman, who's 14 years old, is in his 8th grade. My baby twins, Elias and Elan, are 9 years old and in 3rd grade.
We lost all we have: our home, loved ones, schools, and universities. Our entire life just vanished in the blink of an eye. We have no future here anymore. We're hungry and thirsty. We live in fear of being killed every second in a small tent. All we do is pray that they will wake up the next morning alive. Help us to leave as a family to gather our shattered life before it's too late.
My children , hopelessness and Ilan and Saji , are facing unimaginable difficulties. The sound of war has become a daily reality for them. Whenever they hear explosions, they freeze in place, engulfed in fear and anxiety. Their screams and tears echo, as they endure the psychological and emotional scars left by the ravages of war on their young souls.
Our city is facing repeated attacks and widespread destruction, making life here impossible.
We fear for our safety and our children's safety every moment we remain in this hell, therefore we urgently request your help to leave. We live in constant fear of explosives and suffer from severe shortage of food, water and medical care and supplies due to the catastrophic condition here. Additionally 21 members of our family members have been killed, some are still missing and buried under the rubles due to the airstrikes and indiscriminate targeting our city.
God bless you and bless your families.
